How To Enable Cookie: Good day! Hope you are good? This HowTo9ja article has one simple goal, that is to tutor you on how to enable cookies on all your browsers,

browsers like Chrome for mobile device and pc, your safari browser for the iOS and Mac Os family, Internet Explorer and Firefox browser.

Cookies are a very essential part of the internet today, it could save you a lot of stress and make your surfing of the internet very easy.

What Are Cookies

Cookies are data pieces stored in your browser that help your browser remember stuff like your usernames, your passwords, and your choices on certain websites, cookies could also store your card details.

By default on iPhones and iPads, your cookies are auto enabled for your firefox and chrome browser and apps! It can’t be turned off, a good thing thou knowing how serious Apple takes security.

How To Enable Cookies On Chrome

This section, I’ll show you how to enable cookies across all chrome versions, chrome for your android, pc and iOS devices.

How To Allow Cookies On Chrome Desktop Browser

Step 1: Locate and open your chrome browser

Step 2: Click the options menu it looks like this ⋮ (three vertical dots). A drop-down menu comes up.

Step 3: Locate and click on “Settings” Chrome opens a new tab containing the Settings page.

Step 4: Scroll down till you see Advance. The Advance stands for “Advanced Settings“. Clicking this opens more Settings options.

Step 5: Scroll to “Privacy and Security” then look for “Site Settings” and click it.

Step 6: You should see “Cookies” select this.

Step 7: Click and switch on the grey option which reads “Allow Sites to Save and Read cookies data(recommended)” this then turns blue.

If you meet the “Allow…..” Option in Blue, know Cookies are enabled on your browser already.

How To Permit Cookie On Chrome Android Browser

Step 1: Open your chrome browser for Android.

Step 2: Tab on the vertical dots ⋮ at the top right corner of your screen, the drop-down menu comes up here.

Step 3: Scroll till you see the “Settings” options which are at the bottom of the chromes drop-down menu.

Step 4: Step 3 leads you to a Settings page, on this page scroll down till you see the “Advanced” option, there you’ll see an option called “Site Settings” click on it.

Step 5: The “Cookies” option should be at the top of your page. If under the cookie option you see “Blocked” then proceed, of you see “Allowed” Cookies are already enabled.

Step 6: By default the “Cookies” switch is grey, click on it to enable it, it will turn blue.

How To Enable Cookie For Chrome On iPad and iPhone

Step 1: Click on your firefox icon to launch your firefox browser.

Step 3: Locate and click on Options, this will open the “Settings” page.

If you are trying to enable cookies with Firefox on your Mac and Linux computer, the settings option here is denoted as “Preference”.

Step 4: Select the “Privacy & Security” tab. This tab is on the left side of your page.

Step 5: Go beneath the “History” section at the middle of the page and click on “Firefox will” dropdown box. A drop-down menu appears.

Step 6: Click on “Use Custom Settings For History” still on the drop-down menu and in the “History” section.

Step 7: Check the “Accept Cookies From Website” box. This will enable cookies for your Firefox browser.

If you get it checked, know your browser has been accepting cookies.

Step 1: Open your firefox android app

Step 2: Select the three vertical dots ⋮ at the top right part of your screen, a drop-down menu will show.

Step 1: Launch your Safari browser from your Mac.

Step 2: The safari menu is at the top left corner of your screen, it is denoted by “Safari” it opens a drop-down menu.

Step 3: Select “Preferences…” This will open the ‘Preference’ window

Step 4: Click on the “Privacy” tab. It looks like a human palm.

Step 5: Navigate to the “Cookies and website data” section and Untick the box which says “Block All Cookies“. This now permits cookies on your safari browser.

How To Validate Cookies On Your Safari For iPhone/iPad

Step 1: Open your iPhone’s “Settings” by selecting the “Setting App Icon”

Step 2: Scroll down till you find your Safari browser’s icon then launch it. This will open your Safari browser’s settings menu.

Step 3: Navigate by scrolling down until you see “Privacy & Security“. This is towards the end of the menu.

Step 4: You’ll see a green switch at the right part of your screen which reads “Block All Cookies“. Tapping this will turn it’s color to white, this signifies that Cookies are enabled.

How To Enable Cookies On Microsoft Edge(Desktop)

Step 1: Locate and launch your Microsoft Edge browser.

Step 2: Click on the horizontal dots ⋯ at the top right-hand corner. This opens a drop-down menu

Step 3: Scroll down till you see ‘Settings’ click this. It will open the settings menu on the right-hand side.

Step 4: Select “Privacy & Security”

Step 5: Scroll down till you find “Cookies” drop-down box then click it, a drop-down menu opens.

Step 6: Click on “Don’t Block Cookies“. This then authorizes your browser to store cookies.

How To Enable Cookies On Internet Explorer (Desktop)

Step 1: Locate and launch your “Internet Explorer” app.

Step 2: Click on “Settings“. It is represented by a gear-shaped icon at the upper right-hand corner of your IE window.

Step 3: At the top of the drop-down menu, click on “Internet Options“. it sometimes takes a while to get clickable.

Step 4: Select the “Privacy” tab. This is at the top of the Internet options.

Step 5: At the far right corner of “Settings” locate and click on “Advance” this opens the Settings pop-up window.

You’ll see two boxes denoted by “First-party cookies” and “Third-party cookies” check both boxes. If you found them check, leave them like that and go to step 6.

Step 6: Tick the “Always Allow Session Cookies“. This should be found near the middle of the Advanced settings window. If you find it check too, leave it.

Step 7: Scroll down and click on “Apply” then “Ok” to confirm your “Cookie” settings.

If you didn’t have to choose any settings here, just close the window.

Step 5: Below the Cookie Acceptance policy, you either check the cookie box or enable the cookie. Here you can either Enable All cookies or Enable based on policy settings.

If you enable it based on policy settings, you should click on “View” and ensure the level is at low or medium.

Step 6: Save your preferred changes by clicking “Ok“.
